There are simple ways that you can go about making your gardening experience easier and more rewarding over the long haul. The best way to do this is by having the right tools and equipment to do the job right. I am going to share with you in an interview style article how I, as a new gardening have made it easier.
Question: What is the most important tool or piece of gardening equipment I own?
Answer: Believe it or not, the most important piece of equipment I have for gardening is my garden hose and the way I store it. Having a hose that is the right length is key and having a proper way to store that hose is also very important. I personally have to 50’ hoses that are stored in granite hose pots. The hose pots are heavy duty so they will endure all four seasons and they also provide a nice decorative touch to my gardens.
Question: What type if shovel do I use for gardening?
Answer: I actually use a simple spade shovel. However, this is a special spade sifting shovel. I never even knew they existed until I started to really get into gardening. It still allow for easily digging into the dirt, but it also allows you to sift the dirt you are digging. I shopped around online and waited till I found a good deal on one before buying because they are a bit more expensive than your regular spade shovel.
Question: Which type of garden hoe is better, one with a straight blade or one with a triangular blade?
Answer: I have personally found that using one with a triangular blade is much more effective that loosening up the dirt around your plants. It also allows you to work in smaller spaces in the garden.
